From sample or idea to precision-validated component.
Prove the design before the batch.
What is learned from the first part carries straight into production.
Prototype to Production
Development work, one engineering workflow
New hardware is rarely right on the first drawing. Reverse engineering, prototyping, machining and CMM inspection on one site shorten the loop between a question and its answer.
- 01Development hardwarePrototypes, test articles and small batches while a design matures.
- 02Prototypes and fit-check modelsPrototype parts and fit-check models that shorten the path from a design to a machined, inspected component.
- 03Reverse engineeringFrom a physical sample to a model and a drawing you can manufacture and inspect against.
- 04First article inspectionThe first part from a new process is fully verified before the batch is released.

Make in India
From an existing
component to engineering data
Imported and legacy components can be developed for manufacture in India, from a sample or a drawing. Where original design data is incomplete or unavailable, the component is measured, modeled and documented so it can be manufactured again and proven to be right.
- 01 /Measure the sampleCritical features are captured on the CMM in a dedicated inspection room.
- 02 /Rebuild the modelCAD reconstruction to design intent, with a manufacturing drawing carrying datums and tolerances.
- 03 /Machine the prototypeProgrammed in-house and cut on the 5-axis or horizontal machining center that suits the geometry.
- 04 /Prove it rightThe prototype is checked against the new drawing and the original, and the result is recorded.
How a Program Starts
From inquiry to first article
Reverse engineering, programming, 5-axis machining and CMM inspection sit on one site, so development questions are answered by the people making the part.
- 01NDARequested and signed before any drawing is exchanged, if you need one.
- 02RFQDrawings, models, material and quality requirements are submitted.
- 03Engineering reviewManufacturability, special requirements and the inspection plan are agreed.
- 04First articleThe first part is machined, fully inspected and reported.
- 05ProductionBatches run to the approved process, with records kept for each.
Component Types
What the Equipment Is Suited To
- Ø1Housings and enclosuresMulti-face parts with bores, pockets and sealing faces held to one another.
- Ø2Brackets and fittingsStructural parts with compound angles, machined in few setups.
- Ø3Contoured geometrySwept and bladed surfaces cut with simultaneous 5-axis motion.
- Ø4Development hardwarePrototypes, test articles and small batches while a design matures.
FAQ
Questions About Exploration Hardware
- "Manufacture of precision machined components and assemblies for aerospace, automotive and industrial applications", certified by Intertek to AS9100:D and ISO 9001:2015, certificate 0255722-00, valid through September 1, 2029.
- Tell us in the RFQ that AS9102 forms are required and the inspection plan and report are prepared in that format for the first article.
- Material certification and inspection records are kept with the job record for each order, so a delivered part can be traced to its material and its measurements.
- List the special processes and any required approvals on the drawing or in the RFQ. We confirm how each will be carried out and certified as part of the engineering review, before quotation.
- Not through this website. If your data is subject to ITAR, EAR or similar controls, contact us before sending anything so that a compliant route can be agreed.
- Customer visits and audits at the Jalandhar plant are arranged on request. Ask through the contact page.
