Flight hardware asks for more than a tight tolerance.
Housings. Brackets. Payload hardware.
Certified to AS9100:D by Intertek for precision machined components and assemblies.
Component Families
What the equipment is suited to
Basant names three aerospace component families: housings, brackets and payload hardware. The 5-axis and horizontal machines and the CMM behind them suit the geometry below.
- 01Housings and enclosuresMulti-face parts with bores, pockets and sealing faces held to one another.
- 02Brackets and fittingsStructural parts with compound angles, machined in few setups.
- 03Payload hardwareMade and inspected to the drawing revision on the order, with the inspection documentation agreed at order.
- 04Contoured geometrySwept and bladed surfaces cut with simultaneous 5-axis motion.
- 05Manifolds and blocksFour-sided machining on the Haas EC-400, with the pallet pool keeping repeat batches moving.
- 06Development hardwarePrototypes, test articles and small batches while a design matures.

Batch After Batch
Repeatable processes. Parts that arrive right.
Controlled fixtures, pallet-pool machining on the Haas EC-400 and first article inspection keep every batch to the approved process, with job, material and inspection records kept against each order.
Flight Hardware Process
From Inquiry to First Article
It asks for a process that is planned before the first cut, verified on the first part, and recorded for every part after it.
Basant's quality management system is certified to AS9100:D and ISO 9001:2015 by Intertek. The certified scope covers the manufacture of precision machined components and assemblies for aerospace, automotive and industrial applications.
- Ø1NDARequested and signed before any drawing is exchanged, if you need one.
- Ø2RFQDrawings, models, material and quality requirements are submitted.
- Ø3Engineering reviewManufacturability, special requirements and the inspection plan are agreed.
- Ø4First articleThe first part is machined, fully inspected and reported.
- Ø5ProductionBatches run to the approved process, with records kept for each.

FAQ
Questions About Flight Hardware
- "Manufacture of precision machined components and assemblies for aerospace, automotive and industrial applications", certified by Intertek to AS9100:D and ISO 9001:2015, certificate 0255722-00, valid through September 1, 2029.
- Tell us in the RFQ that AS9102 forms are required and the inspection plan and report are prepared in that format for the first article.
- Material certification and inspection records are kept with the job record for each order, so a delivered part can be traced to its material and its measurements.
- List the special processes and any required approvals on the drawing or in the RFQ. We confirm how each will be carried out and certified as part of the engineering review, before quotation.
- Not through this website. If your data is subject to ITAR, EAR or similar controls, contact us before sending anything so that a compliant route can be agreed.
- Customer visits and audits at the Jalandhar plant are arranged on request. Ask through the contact page.
